I was having my comcast emails sent to outlook express.  Then my computer blacked out on me.  So I put in the Recovery Cd and it is ok now.  But when I go to Outlook Express...there are no emails.  (I had lots on there before rebooting)....do you know if I can retrieve my old emails?Laura22,Welcome to the CH forums.If you would please provide more data help will come.Such as the operating system of the computer.Some criteria of the computer also may help. When you started to run it, did you have any options about what to do, such as repair or full restore?  If GIVEN options, what did you select?

Did you not see any warnings on screen when you ran the Recovery CD?  If you did what I suspect you did, which is format the hard drive and restore your system to the configuration as it was when the computer was NEW, then you erased EVERYTHING on your hard drive.  Obviously, this means you will not be able to recover your old email messages.

Your email messages and any other files you wanted to keep should have been backed up on external media (external hard drive, CD/DVD, flash drive, ETC.) before you used the Recovery CD.
