Solve : Outlook Express question?

Answer» OUTLOOK express is driving me crazy. :-?

My internet works fine, I have no problem accessing websites or connecting. However, when I click send/receive under Outlook Express to CHECK my mail a menu pops up that reads "Dial up connection", "Connect to:" and there are no options. I don't understand why it's asking me to connect when I'm already connected to the internet. I checked on my outgoing/ingoing mail servers, which are correct. I use 1and1.com for my website. I do not know how to get by this problem. Can ANYONE help, thank you.smoot01 .......... Do you use dial-up to connect to the net?
When did this situation start ?

Please let us know .

dl65 This started today... and I connect to the internet automatically through a wireless connection.smoot01..... Go into outlook express ...options / connections and be sure that never dial a connection is TICKED .........

I don't see that option under options>connections

Actually Outlook Express shares your internet connection, so when you click on tools (in Outlook express) then click on "options", then click on "connection", you should see "internet connections" and a "change" button next to that. Click on the "change" button and that will redirect you into your internet properties. That is what dl65 was saying. Make sure that your internet settings are correct. Also check Outlook>FILE>Work Offline, make sure it's not ticked.
