I recently upgraded to Office 2007 and I am trying to import my old .PST file.
I get the following error message: "outlook.pst cannot be opened"

any ideas?You NEED to point outlook to the .pst file you want it to use. That may be true but I believe an import is the normal procedure for transferring Outlook data from one computer to another.  Clearly, that's what the import command on Outlook menu is for and many references can be found about this.  Your suggested method may work fine; I just believe an import would be the normal way to do this.
