EG., let's say you are having trouble with a cd rom, can the tool/software tell you where the trouble is? If so, is it effective.There is diagnostic software for this and has been for years in auto repair shops. The thing is it is VERY expensive. It's not SOMETHING the AVERAGE mechanic can afford.I think he is talking about a HARDWARE diagnostic tool.
