I need some HELP finding a program that is free and I had it before.

It is a Type of win xp phone dialer.
This is what it did.

I have a FAX MODEM and it is connected to the standard phone jack.

And I could just bring up this Program like a phone dialer and I just type in the phone number I wanted to call and I could here them over my Computers speakers and use my Microphne to talk to them.


I know they have Skyp now but they say there are a lot of other programs that are stand alone ones like I useto have.

Can anyone help I think they are called Softphones but I don't know WITCH one I neeed???

I use to have one and I did n0ot pay for it and it WORKED through my MODEM.

It was not called a Softphone but it was a Type of Phone Keypad Dialer.

And the program would let you hit numbers on screen or put them in on the keyboard and it would make the call from your Phone line in the house.

And you used the Speakers and Microphone to talk.
Is that kind of a voice of ip app? If your wanting to call other people skype would be okay but they would have to have it an it uses VOIP. This is what it did.

My Fax MODEM would be connected to my Phone Jack.

And I would use the Dialer Program to Call anyone I could call a House Phone if I wanted to.
