thank you , i tried that one, it will search for a photo and bring up web sites with the photo but a lot of them do not credit or give links. Quote from: Fed on February 27, 2012, 11:08:26 PM

This would pretty much be magic rather than science. How do you expect any software to do that? Unless you mean extracting EXIF information. This is information ("tags") added to an image file by many cameras at the time of taking the picture or added later in a computer using software - time, date, make of camera, aperture, shutter speed, if flash was on, etc, etc, and in some cameras, GPS location information, and potentially much more. Often the photographer will add extra information such as title, name of photographer, notes, comments, all sorts of THINGS. Is that what you meant? If so, there are dozens of programs that can do that, just Google for EXIF readers or tools. You are only going to get out what has been put there, no software can do magic tricks. Not every picture is going to have every possible EXIF tag filled.

Thank you Salmon Trout, yes this what i meant, your quote " title, name of photographer ".
I'ts for my site and i want to add the photographers name under the photo, a lot do add it themselves.
In my site i can add a name to any photo its not HARD, but i can't find a name so i'll try that link and let you know. This program looks HIDEOUS, but should do the job: http://www.photo-freeware.net/quick-exif-editor.phpThanks Rob, i'll have a GO at it.harry,  I want  to assume that you have taken the following into consideration but i don't want to lose you as a valuable member of the CH forums where we must come to visit you in an institution of incarceration. But you do realize that simply posting a credit to an author of a picture (that is NOT of your creation) can result in bad things occurring. It is usually required to have written explicit approval for such a presentation from the creator. truenorth Quote from: truenorth on March 14, 2012, 03:24:09 PM

Truenorth, i do understand that. That is why i'm trying to find out the author's name or site.

I don't want to be extradited to the states for geting photos of the web, as is happening at the moment,  and be incarcerated for 30 years.

BTW, i got them sent to me by an email, would that help keep me out of jail.  Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you... Quote from: truenorth on March 14, 2012, 03:24:09 PM

I could be wrong, but I suspect that Harry's not planning to post the type of photo that would lead to imprisonment...While my caution was meant to apprise Harry of potential it really was my attempt (maybe inadequately) to coat it in the sweetener of humour. I sense HE got that.truenorth Quote from: truenorth on March 22, 2012, 07:30:19 AM
