Solve : Photoshop cs3 gives error message?

Answer»

Jscript is not properly registered; please repair JScript then reinstall.

There is a fix on ADOBE site and others but only for Vista;     seems not to work with XP Sp2

HeinzIs it an original copy of Photoshop? Why not try downloading SP3? Quote from: jerryheavyarms on August 18, 2008, 04:09:49 AM

Why not try downloading SP3?

The CS3 is a download from adobe; the trial version
Thanks

Also where can I down load SP3 for XPGo to Start > Run and type in regsvr32 jscript.dll (there's a space in there) and click OK.  You should get a prompt saying that it succeeded.  Click OK and try installing Photoshop again.  Does it work?

Your a genius; I have downloaded cs3, it worked perfectly.....I wonder the Adobe Info COULD NOT adress this for XP so I am very grateful to you

Heinz

PS:  Did you find it WORTHWHILE to down load SP# for Xp?It's just one of those problems that tends to slip by, I suppose.  It probably hasn't come up often enough on XP for Adobe to notice it.  Heck, I couldn't really even find anything helpful on Google.  I figured that SINCE it wasn't properly registered, we would try registering it ourselves!  Heh.

As for SP3, I would recommend downloading it because it has a lot of security updates.  Some people have had TROUBLE with it, but I (and most of our members) haven't experienced any problems.  The installation went very smoothly for me and I have even noticed slightly better performance. Thanks againYou are very welcome.
