Solve : Photoshop Text?

Answer»

I have photoshop 5.0 (I know, it's outdated) but I downloaded a FONT I wanted to use on there. I correctly installed the font onto my computer. It doesn't show up in photoshop when I use the type tool. Is there a way to install it to Photoshop or can I just not do it?Do you know whether all other fonts installed in Windows are available in Photoshop?I don't know, how would I be able to tell? You can see the fonts installed on your system by going to Control Panel and opening Fonts. At the lower left CORNER of that window, it should show the number of fonts installed. Do you see the font you downloaded there?I see what you are sayin. Yes it is installed and it works in MICROSOFT word. But not in photoshop.I found this via Google: Installing Fonts for Photoshop Only. I would TRY installing this way and see if it works.

By the way, your graphics (avatar and signature block) are very large files. They would make a first viewing of your posts by dial-up users a slow process. Your avatar, with all it's animation, is 215,937 bytes, whereas most peoples avatars are less than 3,000 bytes. Your signature block image is 71,859 bytes, and it can easily be reduced in file size without sacrificing image quality. Here it is, at 16,328 bytes:

Ok thanks and I will CHANGE my sig and avatar ASAP. But it still won't work. I am putting the font file in the Adobe folder. (Now remember, I have 5.0 not 5.5.) There is no font folder and Itried just putting it in the Photoshop folder, and it didn't work either.Adobe has a forum; it starts at http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/. That page has a link for Photoshop and ImageReady. From there, you'll need to register to post a question.
