Answer» Is there any way I can open up & read info off a floppy disc that I dont know what program it was done in,& there is no file ext.'s?? I am completly computer illiterate,so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated in really basic LANGUAGE!Thanks. Follow these steps to discover what the file extension of the file is:
1. Right click on the file you wish to open 2. Choose properties 3. LOOK under File type 4. Tell us what it says.Ok,I clicked on the file, which opened up 11 little boxes (not sure what they are) ,each with some info NEXT to the little box.Not sure if any of that info will HELP? But when I went to file type,it says: file folder. Some of the abreviations next to the boxes are: clt.2, inv-pc.sbv, prd.sbf, sls.2. Any help? What do I do now please? You have done as I said and those are the extensions shown behind file type?
