My Screen resolution on my computer screws up sometimes and i usually just REINSTALL invidia and it works again.

This time however i tried reinstalling them and it didn't work. So i went and uninstalled everything that was nvidia on the program list and restarted the computer.

Then when i went to install the nvidia drivers again it gave me an error message that said "The NVIDIA SETUP program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current HARDWARE. Setup will now exit"

I'm running windows vista 32bit and the nvidia disc i have is geforce 8300GS

Please any help WOULD be greatly apreciated. thanksYou mentioned the NVIDIA disk. Did you try downloading the specific driver for your card at the NVIDIA site?

I'm not sure what this post means, but the link in daryllsilorio's post is correct.

It means the best driver for a card is usually the one provided by the card manufacturer, not always the generic one from ATI or Nvidia.
