Answer» my friend gave me a comp but when i go to my computer and try to add/del PROGRAM it wont let me in it is saying contact adminstrator due to the restrictions on the computer why can anyone HELP are u the computer admin? check in User Settings. If u arent try restarting in SAFE mode. Use Admin user and change your account to adminYep, nothing wrong with your hard DRIVE, there's a problem with your user. You user is set to limited, and therefore cannot change certain system things or remove programs. As jdouglas SAID, you need to log in as the admin, and use the admin account to change your user account settings to have admin access.
