Solve : Pointing device not working.?

Answer» PLUGGED USB Logitech Optical MOUSE into SONY VAIO laptop, removed it and the touchpad no longer works.  Looked in BIOS and could not see any options for the touch pad. The touch pad should come up in device MANAGER. There is a folder on C drive called pointing device with the ALPS drivers which would be the drivers, but the touch pad is not in device manager.you ALREADY posted this in the other category. posting here is redundant!Topic locked to PREVENT confusion. As squirrel said only one post is required.
