OKAY, I am running a Compaq Presario with XP Home edition w/SP3
Somehow my printer stopped working recently, the computer shows that it is no longer installed… EASY enough to fix, just reinstall the driver, right?
Well, no, EVERY time I try to install it I get and error message saying; “Cannot continue, the Print Spool Service has been stopped, restart the comp…etc.”
So, I try to start the Print Spool service and get the error message; “C:\WINDOWS\System32\Com\Comexp.msc
The archive is either in unknown format or damaged”
Can anyone please tell me how to fix this?
Hopefully there’s a simple Hotfix!

P.S. – I don’t have a recovery disc for XP Home but do have one for XP PRO
