Hi

I am facing problem while installing new programs in my computer. It happens in recent days only. All other existing programs are running perfectly. WHENEVER I try to intall a new program in my machine, it is not gettting installed. Setup program get closed. I don't know why it happens?? Can you please help me in this regards?? What could be the reason and how it can be solved??

VincentCouple of things come to mind.

How did you uninstall the AV? Did you USE the uninstaller that came with the package? Did you use the Add/Remove Software in the Control Panel? Did you just delete directories?

A previous install/uninstall did not complete normally. Most Microsoft products will INFORM you of this situation and either tell you to boot or ROLL back the previous install.

Installing a new installer could be problematic however, since that's the very problem you're having.

Let us know about the AV. You may have to delete all references in the registry manually. Thanks for your effort on giveing solution to me. I removed the AV from Add/remove programs and it was successfully removed. So problem may not lay there.

Then wot abt the installer installation. Wot could be the problem. Anyway let me try this.
