Answer» my computer is XP. i have office xp (version 2002) software. the word, excel and powerpoint work fine when i install the software. i cannot get the outlook to work...neither the email or the CALENDAR. i have INSTALLED and uninstalled many times and have gotten a variety of MESSAGES. now when i click on outlook, i get "unable to start processing services. could not open item. try again'. i have gotten other messages but this is the current one. i have norton 2008 running.
when i try to go further into opening the outlook file, i get this message: "the file c/documents and settings\hp\administrator\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook\outlook.pst is not compatitble with this version of the personal folders information service. contact your administrator.

can you help me from here? WELL, I don't use Outlook personally, so I can't check the procedure out. Hopefully, someone with Outlook experience will chime in here.
