Solve : problem with "add or remove programs"?

when i OPEN the "add or remove program" from the control panel , then there appears a huge blank space in between the list. a few progrmas in the beginning (3 or 4) and the a huge blank space is followed by the REST of the programs. can anyone what is this?? or what is causing this??
