Solve : Problem with programs when not connected to the internet?

Answer»

When i'm not connected to the internet, every program and file that i try to open takes a very long time to finally open and sometimes wont open at all.
This even happens in programs that dont even need internet connection to work properly. I ask here because i really dont know where to start looking for the cause.
I have thought about reinstalling Windows but since i dont have a CD and the key propably wont work because Windows was preinstalled when i bought this computer.

Here is my PC's specifications:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, build 7601)
Manufacturer: Acer
Model: Predator G3610
BIOS: Date: 10.31.2011 Version: 04.06.04
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600 3.4GHz (8 CPUs)
RAM: 10240MB (10GB)
DirectX 11
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Here is list of programs currently installed on my system: http://pastebin.com/YkTYA7UK Exported with CCleaner Quote

This statement sounds fishy.....

This system is an Acer Predator G3610, and should have a product key label on it that has the genuine Windows 7 product key.

Are you the original owner of this computer? If you are the original owner the key on the computer will allow activation without any problems as long as it is not flagged as pirated by microsoft activation servers.

If not the original owner, has this product key label been removed by prior owner ? ( to be used for a duplicate installation of the same key on more than 1 computer maybe )

** The Good news is that if you have owned this system since it was brand NEW from purchase unopended box from a retail outlet, you have nothing to worry about. However if you bought this computer second hand and the prior owner skoffed the key off of it for their own system and sold this system to you, it means that you will run into activation issues which may require you to buy a new copy of Windows 7 64-bit to have an unused ( unpirated key ). If this system was bought new and you know that your key has not been stolen or misused but is damaged to where it cant be read, you can use a program like Magic Jellybean to read your key according to the systems INSTALL. Then create a restore set of this system if you dont already have a restore set created, and then install clean and use the key just as reported by Magic Jellybean and you should be ok.Yes i have owned this PC since it was brand new. There is a sticker on the case with the key on it. I did some research on the net and came to the conclusion that the key will work. I have DECIDED to reinstall windows and see if that fixes my problems. Thanks From your list of installs i suspect a nearly full HDD...which dramatically affects performance...I forgot to add my HDDs to the spec list: 1TB drive for Windows and another 1TB for data and Steam games. But i reinstalled windows now and now everything is smooth!  Quote
