Answer» Each time I open Microsoft Outlook (2002) I keep GETTING error message number 0x8004210A. Therefore, I am not able to download my emails. When I try to update Windows, the website gives me an Error number 0x800A1391. So, I cannot update anything. How can I resolve these problems? I recently installed ZoneAlarm but, everything looks o.k. as far as Firewalls, etc. Help! Thanks. What else does the error message say? These are the two error messages: "Log onto incoming mail SERVER (POP3): the specified server was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct. To access these settings close this DIALOG, then click More Settings & click on the Advanced tab." " FIND incoming mail server (POP3). Unable to connect to the incoming mail server (POP3): Unable to connect to the incoming mail server (POP3). Please verify the server name in the incoming mail server field. If that information is correct, close this dialog, click More Settings & verity the port & SSL information on Advanced tab." I'm pretty certain I've placed all the correct numbers in the Settings. Please advise. What E-mail provider do you have?
Have you SCANNED for viruses/spyware?
What are your POP3 settings? (Minus password, ofcourse)The windows update problem was resolved through contacting Zone Alarm. They had me change some settings on the Privacy tab and it worked. Now I'm able to update Windows.
The Microsoft Outlook (2002) problem was also resolved by changing the port settings: Incoming server (POP3): 995 Checked the box where it says "This server requires an SSL-secured connection" Outgoing Server (SMTP) :25 Checked box where it says "This server requires an SSL-secured connection"So your problem is resolved?
Excellent.
