I'm having problems installing Java SE Development Kit [JDK7 SE]. I've downloaded it successfully. When I double CLICK on it to install it, a new window open and ask if I want to run the file. I click OK and NOTHING happens. I have Java Run Environment 7 [JRE 7] installed but want the Java Development Kit 7 for PROGRAMMING. I am also unable to remove the Java Run Environment 7 by Add/Remove Program FEATURE [I thought if I uninstall this that I would be able to install the JDK7 SE]. My operating system is Windows XP Professional and there is enough free disk space for file.
I was able to install JD7 with Netbeans but my class uses JDK 7 SE Development Kit.
