Answer» Hi Guys,
A while ago I had to reformat and reinstall XP. Now, a month later, I think it's finally done.
While going through the labors of getting this done, I was advised to use Acronis True Image to replicate the state of my C: drive while it was OK.
I got that software, but it only allows me to clone a HD to another HD, not to a DVD or CD as recommended. I have Acronis Home version 11.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks. When you click on desktop icon for Acronis, look under tools, 'Create Bootable Rescue Media'Next---Then choose Full Version.
Now, your CHOICE of CD/DVD Burner you have in your COMPUTER should appear.I have acronis 11 home and you can MAKE a complete backup of your system and drives. You can store it on disk or in " Acronis secure zone" Which will take a CHUNK of whatever drive you chose, and save a copy of your system in the " Secure zone" which can easily be RESTORED. I like the software.
