Answer» Driver Update did a scan on my computer and it said that I had 22 Outdated or Missing Drivers. My question is in order to get my computer up to date I can purchase both of these items - (DriverUpdate and FixCleaner Windows OPTIMIZER) It guarantees your computer and all of your devices will work properly. My computer doesn't really seem to be running poorly but I've GOT an issue with outlook express. I've contacted my ISP several times and they can't find anything wrong. Part of my mail comes in through outlook and part of it will go to roadrunner, even though I've never used rr as my mail service. It sends the same message several times and I've looked everywhere and can't find a solution. Just wondering now if it may be a driver problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.1) There is essentially no such thing as an out of date driver. Drivers should only be updated if there is a specific need or reason to do so.
2) Registry Cleaners / Optimizers CAUSE problems, they do not cure them. Delete both of those programs - at the very LEAST, don't use them.Further to Allan's sage advice IF there ever should ARISE a NEED to update a specific driver the only place one should obtain them is from the manufacturer's site that made the hardware and they will always be free. This is a fine example of the adage "if it ani't broke don't fix it". Re your e-mail issue have you thought about uninstalling the roadrunner e-mail client via add/remove programs? truenorth Alan and truenorth (Thank you so much for your advise). I don't know that much about computers, usually when I have a problem I look for answers. I haven't actually uninstalled it, didn't know I could. It's provided through Time Warner Cable. I allowed them to view my computer and they said everything was set right. They told me to delete the account and start over, did that but it didn't make a difference. This has been going on since 10/4. My HUSBAND and I both have our computers but share networking I guess you could say but he isn't having any problems with his. He has Windows 7 and Microsoft outlook though. I have XP and outlook express. Don't know if that would make a difference or not. Thanks again to both of you...Your Outlook Express account is seperate from your roadrunner account... Easiest way to check this is see what your e-mail addresses are for both... If they are different than no worries...
