Answer» ok when u first get this you have to enter alot of things like on the 3rd slate it says soemthing about
incoming mail sever an u can pick from POP3,IMAP,and HTTP
first question is WHATS this an how do i FIGURE it out ?
then down below this section it says
incoming mail(POP3,IMAP, or HTTP) sever
an STMP is the sever that is used for outgoing e-mail
outgoing mail (STMP) sever
second question is whats all this saying to me in simple engilsh and how do i find this sever stuff out so i can use outlook express as my new e-mailThat information should be given to you by your E-mail provider.
What E-mail provider do you make use of?my current e-mail i use is yahoo but my internet should be comcast how do i get thatThis link may help:
http://www.realifewebdesigns.com/web-resources/pop3-smtp.html
Yahoo POP3 is a paid service.
so basically i have to pay for a outgoing and incoming sever thing or something like that or is there another way u got to find it out by ?Your ISP (Comcast) will have allocated you an email address. [emailprotected]
'incoming mail sever an u can pick from POP3,IMAP,and HTTP' Choose pop3
From Sidewinder's link... Comcast incoming mail server: mail.comcast.net Comcast outgoing mail server: smtp.comcast.net
If that doesn't work you can PROBABLY get the configuration from the comcast website.ok when i try to send something it does this ONE thing that says connecting to mail.comcast.net authoring..............
then it keeps doing it over and over then ASKS me for my name an password an it keeps repeating the process now whats wrong ?Did you type in your username & password? If so, you should contact comcast & make sure they have set your email up.do they have a number or do u have to contact them another way cause sometyimes for products or internets services they dont have a number ? You can reach Comcast at 1-800-COMCAST
