Solve : Quicktime Video?

I saved a video clip saved on to the computer that plays using Quicktime.  The problem is the video is so dark, it's hard to see whats going on.  Is there any WAY of BRIGHTENING the video footage?

I have moivie maker, but it's not letting me OPEN the clips as they aren't .avi, .mpg. M1V, etc.  Hmmm.
