Hope someone can HELP.

Running MS XP(Pro), SP2 with Outlook 2000.

Normally Outlook RUNS quite happily. However, sometimes, when I come out of Outlook to do other things then startup Outlook - nothing happens.

Egg timer appears then disappears. No errors - nothing.

So I then CTRL+ALT+DEL to then end any tasks to restart.

When Windows starting to shutdown a message boxs appears saying that OUTLOOK.EXE is running.

Any suggestions?

Am also running Mailwasher Pro - but problem existed before then.

Any help truly appreciated.You have scanned for Viruses, Trojan HORSES and spyware?

I suggest that you use Mozilla Thunderbird as an E-mail client.Check the settings in mailwasher?Thanks all.

Thoroughly checked for any malware - no problem.

Problem is that this happened before I had Mailwasher.

Running Registry Mechanic seems to cure problem - for a wee while - but then it always returns.

Any more suggestions appreciated.Are you up to date with msoft........ what happens if you reboot pc and hold down the f8......and chose last GOOD config.......did the HAPPEN after sp1
