Answer»

Yes; it's called a Windows XP installation CD...

You've been here long enough to know how to ask MEANINGFUL questions...You will eventually need an official XP CD for your troubles...

Putting it off will only lead to more threads.Seriously, you haven't given us anywhere NEAR enough information to answer your question. A "factory restore" would be make/model dependent. What computer is it?The answer to your original question is "it depends". I recently tried to acquire some restore CDs for a Canadian Sony Vaio laptop. Sony wouldn't ship them out of the US and wanted to charge £45 ($90) for them. They told me to get someone in the US to buy them and then to ship them to me in the UK. Great customer service.

eBay is a good one stop shop for restore CDs, but only at the manufacturers' web sites can you guarantee getting legitimate copies, if they sell them at all.W2K Yep. Absolutely. One Win2k CD will work on absolutely any computer, any hardware, any decade. Even a Commodore Pet. W2K. Perhaps the best Microsoft OS released... Fewer BUGS than the rest.
