I'm a little confused , if you have a legal valid copy of XP complete with matching serial code, why on earth would there be a blacklisted key on your machine ?.....and if that were the case , how on earth did that machine pass activation and WGA ?

dl65 actually the pc im USING was given to me by my friend... upon updating it in the microsoft website it DISPLAY that my windows is not genuine.. so i PURCHASE a valid one but can i just re-enter the valid serial key on the same windows installation without reformatting it?billyjo_29....... I would be inclined to copy whatever you need off that machine , wipe it clean and then do a reinstall with the "New" ....."Still in the crate" ........"Untouched by human hands" .... CD.

Then you won't have to worry about your software being pirated .
