Solve : Recoring my mouse/kb strokes?

Answer»

I am LOOKING to develop some e-learning software for my department on the basic use of computers.

Does anyone know of, or can suggest, software that would record what I am doing on a pc that ould ALLOW me to save this as video files with audio?

For example, showing someone how to use XP to burn to DVD and have that demo as a video rather than text and images.

Thanks in advance.http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=computer+screen+recorder+software

the google lord is very handy on this kinda of stuffI always find that Wink is very effective.
Google it.
It can produce different file TYPES too, and is free.
Try out some of the alternatives though, by using Google as unlovedwarrior suggested.
Just saying, I have had exerience with Wink and it works fine.Using a screen recorder does slow your computer down A LOT, for example:
Opening MS Word normally would take like 2 seconds.
With screen recorder on, it would probably take 10-15 seconds to open MS Word.Depends on the quality settings, the output file FORMAT, and the recorder itself.
I found that Wink made no difference, but another one I tried (can't recall the name) made the PC too slow to be useful.
If it does slow the PC down too much, consider reducing the quality, or recording the audio afterwards.I have SnagIt8 and it slows my computer down to like 50%. That's because i need high quality videos because i'm making tutorials and stuff. Thanks peeps. Will have a play with a few to SEE what works best.
