Answer» Hello all, How true! Yeah if you ignore the first page of search results, you have a 50% chance of not going to mozilla.org.Thanks for all the responses. I'm somewhat confused. Whenever I download Firefox (I have tried several links), Search Page comes with it. Are they insepartable? Now that I have been somewhat tutored by Super Dave, I can simply delete them. Can't I simply have Firefox alone? CopasIf you download it directly from Mozilla you will get nothing but Firefox. If you have a search page you don't want, it's malware that was already on your system.Agreed... Maybe give SuperDave another heads up...Here is a simple project. Search for 'Official Firefox' in you browser. Even if you browser has not been compromised, the Mirilla.org will not show up on top. And if you browser has been compromised, there are too MANY sits on just t he first page. To get to Mozilla, you have to enter Mozilla. And even then be careful. Correction:: mozilla.org is what will show... Just clarifying. Quote from: patio on September 19, 2014, 06:23:05 PM Correction:: mozilla.org is what will show...I stand corrected. Yes, that does lead to a Mozilla site. But if you browser has been already infected - watch out! Thanks all for your responses. I have tried all the things people have suggested to download Firefox without SearchPage. Always SearchPage is there. It doesn't appear on my file list as a seperate program. When I uninstall Firefox it goes away. I can never find Searchpage.com on my file list. What is the key to all of this? CopasYou need to post in the malware forum.Agreed... |
