Solve : Reformat problem - no picture on monitor? |
Answer» Hello, i have recently reformatted my harddrive and then reinstalled windows xp + serverpack 2, evrything seemed to work fine except i lost my Network Drivers so off to the shed WENT this computer because i had just recently got a new one as well as a new monitor. Today i got the old computer back out the shed hoping to install the network drivers and other drives back on it but when i started it up there was a problem. The black screen with white text and the the Windows loading screen would start up but then i would lose all visual after that, no log in screen or anything. which means i cannot install anything to fix it. What can i do ?? maby its my new monitor ?? Maby i need to first GET some video driveers installed on there to get the picture back up ? How ?? no i havnt because i dont kno how coz i cant see anything. : (Okay. Try to remove first your graphics card. Use first your on-board (built-in) graphics card. See if the display will come back. Then install the necessary drivers of your motherboard. Once done, put-back your video card and install its driver. CH experts, please advise. Is it easy/safe to take out my graphics card ? : sQuote from: Ngatai on August 19, 2009, 01:47:45 AM Is it easy/safe to take out my graphics card ? : sYes. Check out your motherboard's User Manual. But hold-on, try to connect your monitor to the VGA port of your built-in graphics card. See if it works.tried that, didnt work. only the graphics card one works.Maybe you should remove first your DEDICATED graphics card and put back the monitor into the VGA port of your built-in one.kk il giv that a try in a little while thanks alot, ill get back to u in a while. few hours probly. ty.Alright. Just update this thread. CH Experts will help you. |
