Solve : Registry Cleaners?

Answer»

I'm looking for a decent freeware registry cleaner. Any suggestions?ccleaner is fast and easy
http://www.ccleaner.comThanks, Fed. I'll give that a try.

On a related topic, I'm currently using WinAso, and cleaned out my registry several times with it. Each time I've performed the CLEANUP, I have immediately restarted my computer and ran the registry checker again. And every time I've done this, the checker has found on average about six new registry errors. What causes this, CONSIDERING I haven't done anything? And how does one solve this PROBLEM?What are the errors?Easy Cleaners
-- Freeware registry scanner
Registrar Lite
-- Excellent replacement for Windows Regedit
Crap Cleaner
-- Freeware registry scanner/history cleaner

Caution is advised when using these programs!
Create backups of all important files before proceeding.
Well, Fed, I've been online for a couple more hours now and now I'm up to 17. Without typing everything out, here's a synopsis.

Deep Registry Scan - 10 errors:
4 Temporary Internet files
1 in Windows/Temp called StashImapi.bin
2 related to Windows Media Player in my local settings
1 related to Microsoft Front Page in my local settings
2 in Outlook/Journal REFERRING to offitems.log

Invalid Files Path - 5 errors:
1 Temporary Directory 1 for animv09b.zip
2 in local settings referring to PPT8.0
2 in local settings referring to Shockwave Flash Objects

Custom Controls - 2 errors:
1 in local settings referring to PPT8.0
1 in local settings referring to Shockwave Flash Objects

All firewalls and virus checkers are up and running.Missing, corrupted or damaged registry entries always occur when uninstalling or installing software.

Even by removing a single picture, you will create a missing registry path which most scanners should pick up.Understood, and thanks for that, Raptor. But that doesn't explain why these ones keep reappearing on reboot....?Judging from the NAMES, I would say that these are files which are constantly in use. Being written and rewritten.

Is WinASO free?It is.Link me to it, if you please. I am looking for good registry cleaners.http://www.download.com/WinASO-Registry-Optimizer/3000-2094_4-10359198.html

Here you go, Rap. Works pretty well, but has the annoying feature that it will only clean 10 registry errors at a time, so you have to initially run it several times. That said, it's the best freeware reg utility I have yet seen - the others are time limited, or will only clean errors in certain categories. Now that you mention it, the only fixing 10 registry entries at a time does sound familiar. I believe I allready tried this tool and preferred the utilities I linked to above, since those are 100% freeware.
Did you try Crap Cleaner and a reboot yet?
Same with Easy Cleaner?
Push all the buttons. I used, I believe it was Easy Cleaner, on a Windows 98 computer a few hours ago and removed at least 1.570 unneccessary files. I have never seen a garbage bin with over 1500 files before.
