Hi All,
I have a Windows 2000 PRO computer running a corp version of Symantec Antivirus. It is version 10.1.

I am trying to get RIP of it. When I run the uninstall it asks for a uninstall password which I don't have....

Need some ideas on how to get rip of it.

Then Run This...Thanks but the problem is that when I start to run the add and remove it gets about HALF way though the removal and then asks for a password. It will not let me complete the uninstall without the password.

I don't touch Norton, so if it'll ask you for some password, I can't help you.Hope this works, try the following steps

However, if the default password didn’t work, this is what you should do:

1) Go to Start -> Run and type regedit

2) Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Administrator Only\Security\

3) Double click on the value name “UseVPUninstallPassword” and change the value from 1 to 0

4) Close the REGISTRY and retry the uninstall.
