Solve : Resolution stuck in 480X640 with only 16 color?

Answer»

Here goes my puzzle...

I have a Dell XPS R350 computer with a
D1226H 19 inch color monitor...
I am running Windows 98 Second Edition...
I ran debug and determined that my graphics card is
STB Velocity 128 (NV3T) Version 1.21...

This computer ran beautifully until on JAN 1 something (maybe a virus) happened and I had to reinstall the OS, WIN98SE...

Since then no matter what I do, I cannot correct
the problem with the screen resolution being stuck
in the 480X640 Resolution and only 16 colors.
So of course you know what the screen looks like...yuck!

I would appreciate any help finding the correct monitor and/or screen adaptor drivers and INSTALLING them.
I have searched for them and cannot seem to locate the proper drivers to download and install. If anyone KNOWS how to correct this problem, where to successfully find the correct drivers and install them successfully...I would be so happy...

Thank you in advance...You should travel to Dell's site and enter your service tag #'s to track down the correct drivers...

Whenever you re-install an OS any drivers that were there are gone.

patio.Go to the below site as recommended by patio .Dell offers 3 STB drivers.
