Solve : Restore Corel Suite 8 and DOS command storage?

Answer»

My COREL Suite 8 wordprocessing program corrupted and the error message indicated that it was a problem with .dll Pfit80. I copied a new .dll to my computer and it should be available for repair. (for whatever reason, I can still apparently access and use the spreadsheet portion of Suite

However, I think it would be easier to "uninstall" Corel Suite 8 with the pre-programmed "uninstall" feature and re-install Suite 8 off the original disk that I have.

I need to know the following:

How do I copy all the word processing and spreadsheet documents with a DOS command? I would probably put the FILES in Windows "My Pictures" for storage.

Once Corel Suite 8 is uninstalled and re-installed, how do I use a DOS command to move the files back into Suite 8, My Files?

This computer is a 300 MHZ, using Windows 98 SE.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Is there an "export " functionin Corel 8 ? ?
If so just select all your files and export them to another location...
Why do you need to do this in DOS ? ?I think I need to do the DOS command because I can not access the wordprocessing files at all. When I click on the wordprocessing application, an error message appears which says something about "format" and I can't access anything.

The spreadsheet application, which apparently still works, has a "Send To" function, but I have never used it.

I barely know how to turn the system on and off; I do know that I should be able to store the files in another place with a DOS copy command, but I don't know how to go about doing it.Quote from: Paladin167 on April 24, 2007, 10:54:49 PM

The exact error message as well as how many drives are in your system would be helpful. The error message has two parts.

The first thing that comes up when you click the WP icon is: Windows can not run this program because it has an invalid format.

Then it says that the Corel PFIT80.dll is corrupted; it says to replace it.

As far as "drives" goes, I just have a standard tower with Windows 98 SE and a FLOPPY "drive". I think I have "c" and "d", too. Sorry for being so ignorant. http://www.gpsoftware.com/kb/q01-1035.htm
