Answer» Hey guys,
I have a laptop with Windows XP SP 2 and for the past two days everytime I turn on my computer I get a pop up message that says Runner Error - Runner file name (logitechdesktopmanager.exe) lacks a '-' (the app id separator)
I'm assuming it's a problem with logitech but I have no IDEA how to fix it or what the error even means.
If I can provide any more information please let me know.
Thank youHad you tried with msconfig? I assume that you have WXP. You could execute it y this way: Start==>Run==>msconfig
There is a tab called Start, seek there any kind of PROCCESS called like the error message or similar (I REFER to logitech)
ELSE, you can execute regedit and seek on the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and you could clear it from the start up!!
I HOPE to be useful to you
Good luckI would also suggest this if you have time... Un-install the Logitech software from Add/Remove programs and shutdown. Re-boot and when you re-install the Logitech software make sure to uncheck the desktop manager part of the program as this is an option in setup. It's mostly intrusive and keeps phoning home for updates so you're better off without it... Just my opinion.
