Solve : Screenshot Program? |
|
Answer» So I was recently in a flame war with some noob: in linux i have a program that takes a screencap of the desired selected area, and automatically uploads it to imageshack, and then it even copies the direct image link to my clipboard so... I think the ImageShack Toolbar does all of that. www.toolbar.imageshack.us Quote from: soybean on April 07, 2009, 01:21:41 PM Did that noob you engaged in a flame war with say what program he was referring to? Is it freeware for Linux users or what? Yeah the snipping tool takes about 20 seconds for me to use, from STEP 1) taking the screen shot, to the final step of getting an URL on my clipboard. And no, the noob didn't tell me. I hate that little guy. I bashed him like 3 times later in the game. But anyway, I don't know what "freeware" is, but I'm going to assume it means something that comes with Linnux. This WOULD be a good question; the part where he says that Linnux is better because it has this would imply that it does come with it, but the fact that it uploads to a third party like image shack would reduce the chances that it comes with it. anyways, I'll try both of your programshmm the link to image shack is broken, but i visited their site and found something called "quick shot" which is by ImageShack, and it works great. I used gaming mode so that their window doesn't pop up, and now i just hit "alt+C" and ofc "ctrl+V" to paste the url they give methanks for posting back with the outcome. Clearly, the Image Shack feature can be used by both Windows and Linux users. It's free. Gadwin PrintScreen is freeware, i.e. it's free. And, it works with Windows. Just remember that Gadwin PrintScreen 4.3 was the last freeware version. 4.4 and above are Pro versions.Looks to me like they're simpy two separate products, evilfantasy, and that we may, indeed, see further releases of the free one. Note that Gadwin PrintScreen Professional 4.5 was released 10/16/08, while Gadwin PrintScreen 4.3 freeware was released 12/09/08.Ahh, good point. Either way the 4.3 version is excellent and I'm not sure what else they could to to make it better |
