Answer» I have a user that can sign into skype for business, message other USERS, start meetings ETC., but when she tries to joins a meeting using an EMAILED link, the page opens but Skype does not connect. In order to get into the meeting, she has to have someone invite her to the meeting before it starts. Has anyone seen this before? any ideas on how to fix this?1) Does she receive any message or see a dialog box when she tries to connect?
2) Does this happen on multiple computers or just one?
3) Is IE her default browser? While it should not make a difference, if IE isn't the default please try resetting it.BTW - If you haven't already seen this it MIGHT be worth a look-see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2423848 Thanks for the QUICK response.
In order 1. there are no messages or dialog boxes 2. have not tried on a different machine but I will 3. IE is default with Chrome installed as backup and rare option of Firefox.
I saw that article, but group policy has certificate and credential managers locked down. Then she's not on the Admin account on that PC...likely why it doesn't work.Luckily I can make her a local admin to test, but there are many that are not admins and they are not having this problem. All on the same PC ? ?Admin privileges should not make a difference with SFB.No, different machines. Majority of users are not admins.
Just heard back and she is an admin on her machine. I would compare workin PC's running services with non-working PC's running services...Let's see what happens if she opens an invite link on a different computer.
