Solve : Software registration problem?

Answer»

I downloaded a software from the internet, but at first, there was no NOTIFICATION that it was a trial version. Then very much later I saw a prompt telling me to update the version of the software I was using which i I did. the next DAY I saw a count down telling me the the free version would expire in 10days. I l later installed the software for a friend and the moment he updated he saw the prompt, installing it for another person, i now told the friend not update and since then he has been using COS he has updated since then.
I have uninstall and REINSTALLED the software hoping that I can use it again but I didn't work is now asking of product key, what I want to know is, is there a way I could undo the very first installation , so I could do it all over again. I TRIED doing a system restore, but the I couldn't get the date of the first installation in my restore point.
...Any bright Ideas
My bright idea: You had the trial, now pay the price. Cracking trial versions is piracy.
