Answer» Hi
I am hoping someone might be able to recommend a (preferably free) utility (or native method) for comparing the contents of Folders in Windows XP.
I have just bought a couple of NEW external hard drives that are larger than my current pair and I want to transfer my core data. This is about 430 gigabytes of material composed of around 250,000 files.
My pause is that there is a discrepency between my two current backup drives (which are meant to MIRROR one another perfectly). The difference is of three folders and 500 files.
Is there some software that could help me to quickly identify what the one drive is lacking ?http://www.tech-pro.net/howto_033.html

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-folder-synchronization-utility.htmI use Allwaysync regularly as do a few other people I know. It's been quite good and it's SIMPLE to use. Thanks for the pointers everyone.
I TRIED http://sourceforge.net/projects/freefilesync/ and it's been HUGELY helpful so far.
