Solve : some programs won't uninstall?

Answer»

When I try to uninstall some programs-either though "add/remove programs" or through their own uninstall in the programs list- I receive one orf two error messeges:

file"C\WINDOWS\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot uninstall.

or a small window opens with the HEADING " Ghost Installer" , which states "Installation LOG file not found" and an "OK" button.

How can I uninstall these and/or is there a fix so this doesn't occur any more?

Also --- When I go to a site to re-download a program that I downloaded from there before , the download is almost complete and stops, with the message "cannot download connection with the server was reset." I have tried another download location and several times over the last month. No reply when I e-mailed them about the problem.
The application is registered and payed for (I've used it for several months).

I would appreciate any advice on one or both of my dilemmas. Thankyou.

In such cases, one solution is to reinstall the program and then try uninstalling it from Windows Add or Remove Programs panel.well, the first and the easiest way is to run system restore (start-programs-accessories-system tools) and restore ur system before u've installed/downloaded ur unneeded apps.
But it's SOUNDS like u've some mall/spyware.
AOL is a free antivirus, all u need to do is just to register email with aol.com domain.
http://daol.aol.com/safetycenter/virus

or u could just scan ur PC with some TOOL (AOL is also possible and doesn't need to be downloaded).try googleing for ccleaner and using the TOLLS section to uninstall it
