Solve : Sound Card Conflict With NAV 2005? |
|
Answer» I have NAV 2005 running on a P-III with WinXP Home. I recently installed a Creative Professional E-MU 0404 PCI Digital Audio System sound card. When I booted up, NAV's auto protect was disabled. I was able to download and run a patch from Symantec's site to ENABLE NAV. However, everytime I boot up, I must manually enable auto protect. Does anyone know if the conflict between NAV 2005 and the E-MU 0404 has been resolved in NAV 2006?DOn't know about that, but you may want to try AVG Free (for free) before shelling out more cash to Norton. Just a thought. Have you opened NAV and checked the settings there? I'm using an older VERSION of NAV. My version has a checkbox for ""Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up". Maybe you just NEED to re-set that. Thanks SOYBEAN for the suggestion. The Auto Start box is checked.Do you have something called Media Source Go! installed? It's from Creative. |
