Howdy doodies.
i just got a sound CARD from my father's computer. it's in close to perfect condition, as it was his little baby APART from his case.
i got it off him with EVERYTHING it came with.
drivers, box, books, etc.
i put everything from my old case in the new case i bought... and uhh..
everything WORKED, my graphics card (sapphire X1950 GT), mouse (razer DeathAdder), keyboard (Logitech G15),
and it finds the sound card but won't use the drivers. despite any amount of re-installation of the drivers or rebooting.

Tony well i thought the problem was gone, as the sound was working temporarily, but i rebooted and it stopped... it's been screwed ever since... i'll post the info later, i've got a doctor's appointment  Have you tried it in another slot just in case ? ?yeah. same thing happened...ach! it's finally working. i think the drivers are fine, but the way my mobo sits in my case isn't quite right, so the slot that the sound card is in is affected by it. i had to try reseating it 4 times, but now it finally works... thanks though guys, i appreciate it Good call! patio.....
