Solve : Sound driver? |
|
Answer» I recently reformatted my computer for the first time and as a beginner i've run into a few problems, that ive managed to fix, however the one persistant problem is that i can't seen to get my sound to WORK. I'm using a Intel 945PL motherboard, and ive attempted to install the Realtek AC'97 driver that i got from the intel website, to no effect, ive tried to install it 3 times and I still don't have sound, at the moment im clueless as where to get the driver or how to get my sound to work. Any help would be appreciated. it basically didnt work at the startBe more specific.Well i tried installing the INF utility first and it didnt work, so i thought it would work if i just clicked the "Xpress Install" button, which installed all the drivers and such on the CD, but it still didnt work after that, so i went back into the CD and attempted to install the Realtek sound driver separately, but before i could do everything, all the options had greyed out and i couldnt do anything with themI just performed a driver detective scan on my computer and from what i can see it looks like i dont even have a sound card? Thats odd, my computer had perfect working audio just 2 days ago before i reformatted....Stay away from Driver Detective!
