Solve : Speedfan Temperatures?

Answer»

Ok so I got a new config file for speedfan as the original wasn't detecting the sensors right.

My specs are to he side but just to make it easier...
I'm using a ASUS P4PE Mobo and a 2.5GHz Celeron 2.5/128/400

Just to avoid confusion...
Windows XP SP3 - Vista Transformation pack with Windows 7 Skin and Window Blinds

now I get flame marks beside my CPU when doing CPU intensive THINGS, even if the temp is still low.

I admit, during games the temperature can reach just over 55 CELCIUS, never seen it above 60.

I am not using an intel cooler but a cheap "deepcool' one that I BOUGHT for $20 NZD (about 12 US)
It has no copper whatsoever

Are these TEMPS safe?

I will attach a screenshot of speedfan for you to look at

EDIT:

Also, is someone able to enlighten me on the 'Temp:' part? It seems to average the same as the CPU but sometimes can be lower/higher...
Is this the chip under the CPU with the heatsink on it?

[attachment deleted by admin]Speedfan's default is to WARN at 50C - this can be changed in the program options. Looks like this profile is warning at another temperature, you can change that.
Not sure what "Temp" refers to, in this case, but if you run a CPU intensive task like a game or Prime95, and it increases roughly the same rate as your CPU temperature, it's likely to be another sensor for the CPU.
Oh, and 55C for that CPU should be fine. Thanks
