Solve : Spybot help?

Answer»

Greetings,

Firstly, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. Not sure if it would fit here or in the Software forum. Please move it if its in the wrong section.

Now my problem. I was using Firefox and a pop up from Spybot came up about a process of Firefox that should be blocked. I didn't really read it properly and just clicked yes. I know, big mistake.

It seems Spybot has blocked Firefox, WHENEVER I try to open a website, FF crashes. I opened Spybot to see if I could undo what I did and found nothing. I clicked the resident and it says:

27-09-2010 16:22:44 Encountered and terminated Fraud.ActiveSecurity in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugin-container.exe!

What should I do?

Thanks in advance. 1) Uninstall Spybot. It is OLD school.
2) Replace it with either (or both) MalwareBytes &/or Super AntispywareOk, thanks mate.

EDIT: Firefox continues to crash. I've unistalled Spybot.Without knowing exactly what Spybot did, here are a couple of THINGS you can try:

1) DOWNLOAD and install (or reinstall) the latest version of Firefox. If there's still a problem,
2) Try starting Firefox in Safe ModeI think Spybot might have deleted the .exe file, at least I couldn't find it inside the folder.

I've reinstalled FF and thus far it seems to be working fine. It's not crashing anymore so I ASSUME the program is fixed.

Thanks You're welcome.
