Solve : Startup Repair occurs on boot?

Following an automatic windows 7 update when I turned off my PC, I am constantly getting Startup Repair loading whenever I turn it back on. When I turn my PC on, it comes up in white text that windows is loading the files, and as soon as it reaches the Microsoft Corporations screen, it goes into the startup repair. Startup repair gives me the following information, however fixes nothing:

I have tried booting it in safe mode, however it takes me straight over to startup repair.
I have also tried to do a system restore, however it fails giving me the message:

System Restore did not complete successfully. Your computer's system files and settings were not changed.

Details:

System Restore failed to extract the original copy of the directory from the restore point.

Also, I did take a look round command prompt and attempted a few tutorials using the chkdsk COMMANDS, and my hard drive is 'Healthy' and 'Online'.

I'm currently WORKING on trying to get another windows 7 disk, but in the meanwhile, can I do ANYTHING without it?Did you run chkdsk /x /r as was suggested over in Chat ? ?

In the command prompt window type: chkdsk /r  (then press ENTER). You'll be told the disk is in use and asked if you want to run checkdisk on the next boot. Say yes, exit the command prompt window, and reboot.From the system recovery bit I can access command prompt, but I cannot right click it. I am logged in as an administrator as to do system recovery options, it requires this.

Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), to make the CD bootable.

Just FOUND out that my mother unplugged it halfway through an automatic update.
Should I just concentrate on finding the disk, as I'm pretty sure that's the fix now.Did you try "Last Known Good Configuration"?Yeah, that also goes straight to Startup Repair.Then yes, unless there is a recovery option / partition on your system you need a Windows 7 disc and you may be relegated to a new install.
