Answer» Hi, I know we have a ton of software for antivirus but I have a old XP 64 bit machine so MSE works no more. Any have a idea that I could use on a older machine and is still free? Thanks MSE works fine on my XP PC...as long as it was already installed. It cannot be ADDED now though.Give Avast! Free Edition a try. MSE was WORKING ok but the last updates from MS killed it. After the reboot it came up saying that the end of life was disabling the software. I will give Avast a shot. Thanks I ignored that message and it AUTO -updated last nite at 4 AM and ran scans just as usual... Support is for ANOTHER full Year BTW...
