Solve : SY-KT400 DRAGON Lite driver CD not installing?

Answer»

I am using Windows Home XP SP2. I just installed it this morning and I am now trying to install my motherboard drivers. I put the CD into the DRIVE, but the CD doesn't auto-play. I go into My Computer and try to Open or Explore it, and it doesn't WORK . When I try to Explore I get an ERROR saying the the DISC is either corrupted or in a format the computer can't read.

In my instruction manuel it says there are four drivers that are required.

  • VIA 4 in 1 driver
  • C-Media 8738 audio driver
  • VIA USB 2.0 Driver
  • LAN driver

I went onto SOYO's website and found a page that has drivers for download. I found this page, and it has drivers for download. I can't find the VIA USB 2.0 driver for XP, HOWEVER. So, my question is: How can I install these drivers on my new computer and where I can find the VIA USB2.0 driver for Windows XP?You shouldn't need USB 2 drivers for XP SP2. So unless XP isn't recognizing your USB devices or telling you that they're not running at full speed, you have no need for this driver.

Regarding the other drivers, just download and install them on your computer.
As far as I can see you need the following:
via4in1v453.zip
vialan_v33.exe
cmi8738_win_xp_v0644.exeAlright, thanks for the help. Everything seems to be working now.

Once again, thanks!  Glad I could help. And i'd contact Soyo for a replacement CD as well...you may need it down the road.
