Hello there.
I have an image, which I wish to make the background transparent.
At the moment it is black, and I need it to match my site's background.
Easy, make it grey, right?
Wrong.
The background of the site is a gradient, it changes from top to bottom.
So I need to make it transparent.
The image is attached, click on my sig to see my site or click here.
I hope someone can help me out here, the black background of the image is annoying me now.

(works with fireworks and with Photoshop)
get the picture, use the magic wand tool (or lasso the predator) change the alpha, then save it as a PNG.
And because you are using a Dreamweaver(I hope), it should work fine (I think, I'm more of a designer than a web maker)

The problem with your current logo is trying to separate the dark background from the dark "leg" images.  Changing it to a transparent background would definitely show the discrepencies in your current image.

Anyhow...I gave it a shot...

[cleaning up - attachment deleted by admin]I see some gradient in the color at top, above the image, and at bottom, below the image, but not in between, where the image is placed.  The area on the ride of the page with the text is also gradient but that's irrelevant.  So, it seems like the background could be changed to the color of page background surrounding it.

Perhaps it would be easier to look for a better version of that same Predator image (possibly with a different background color) and just remake the logo.

If I could see the page...I'd let ya know....sorry.

To be honest, I like the original better.  It would be a bit of a pain, but you could change the background color by hand.  Not sure if you're willing to go through with that, though.
