Solve : Take out black background and make it transparent? |
|
Answer» Hello there. If you want the background of the picture transparent.I tried that, but the magic wand/colour select tools (working with Paint.NET and the GIMP here, but Paint.NET got the legs and the GIMP didn't) didn't do too well, I could select the black and remove it but couldn't make it transparent. I'll try saving it as PNG this time. Quote from: The Saviour on June 05, 2007, 02:30:47 PM I changed the image, Calum...I see your point, had the same issues. I like the image, but not on the site, for some reason it doesn't look right to me. Thanks anyway. Quote from: soybean on June 05, 2007, 05:00:43 PM I see some gradient in the color at top, above the image, and at bottom, below the image, but not in between, where the image is placed. The area on the ride of the page with the text is also gradient but that's irrelevant. So, it seems like the background could be changed to the color of page background surrounding it.Well, when I use the colour select tool to select the gradient in the middle, where the image is, it is a different colour to the background. It's a slightly darker grey box and I am unable to find the right colour. The black box doesn't look too bad, but I would prefer it grey. If that's not possible, I guess I'll just leave it.Perhaps it would be easier to look for a better VERSION of that same Predator image (possibly with a different background color) and just remake the logo. Problem is, I can't find it anywhere. When I was looking there was only that one that looked any good, and the upper 3/4 or more of the BG was black anyway, I added a bit underneath so I had room for "Dark BLADE Clan". I guess I'll look for a new image, I had no success trying to make it a PNG file with a transparent background, there was too much black still there.OK, I changed the image, what do you think of that? Quote from: Calum on June 06, 2007, 12:46:52 PM OK, I changed the image, what do you think of that? If I could see the page...I'd let ya know....sorry.To be honest, I like the original better. It would be a bit of a pain, but you could change the background color by hand. Not sure if you're willing to go through with that, though.
