Answer» Dear Forum - Please help I installed RealPlayer and now I can't shut down my PC, as I used to be ABLE to, because there is TeaTimer.exe running in the background that prevents this. This happened because I denied a change being made to the registry and, apparently, this is RealPlayer's revenge. What should I do? Uninstall RealPlayer? What is TeaTimer.exe? Malware? I do not wish to touch the registry because I wouldn't know what I am doing. Thanks so much for your help. I am using Vista. ??Do you have Spybot SEARCH & Destroy installed? TeaTimer is a feature of Spybot Search & Destroy. I suggest you try Disabling Teatimer as a test to see whether that resolves the problem. I ALSO suggest, you get rid of RealPlayer to PREVENT any future problems, and install Real Alternative: http://filehippo.com/download_real_alternative/, which does very same thing, and it's rather trouble free. |
