do i need a driver or SOFTWARE to use a new (second HAND) TFT Monitor Only if you want the PC to SEE it. cheers squirrel does this mean my oper. system will RECOGNISE the new monitor  :-/Only if you have appropriate drivers for it and then only if your drivers are not too old for the monitor. You do not require drivers for the monitor. Windows may detect it FULLY, or it may simply detect it as Plug and Play.

Except if you have the type of monitor that the monitor page says requires drivers, right?Windows comes with drivers that will work for any monitor, but they are not very efficient.

Where do you see this?

Even without an operating system, you can use a monitor. No monitor requires drivers.

Do not confuse videocard drivers with monitor drivers, though.Okay.
